Kalamazoo Downtown Mall Parking Structure

Kalamazoo, Michigan
Walker Consultants provided pre-design planning, functional design, parking consulting, and structural engineering for the City of Kalamazoo’s Ramp #3. The 500-space, 5-level cast-in-place parking deck is integrated into a mixed-use development that nearly fills the triangle-shaped city block and includes a 12-screen cinema.
A space-saving circular helix ramping system is tucked into an inside corner of the site. One elevated pedestrian bridge connects the garage directly to the restaurants and retail of the city’s historic downtown mall, and a second bridge connects to another parking deck and block of retail.
