Nationwide Children’s Hospital 18th Street Parking Structure

Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH), a nationally ranked pediatric acute care teaching hospital in Columbus, Ohio, asked Walker to provide conceptual design services for a parking garage at their South 18th Street P4 and P5 properties.
This garage serves mostly NCH staff with 1,155 spaces on seven levels and offers multiple pedestrian connections to the office building. Walker’s services included functional design, structural engineering, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing design.
The design incorporated a service dock area into the garage footprint. Parking and staging for mobile intensive care units are available in the lower level.
