Duane has extensive experience in the design and restoration of transportation-related structures, including parking garages, since the start of his career in 1999. He has performed functional design for parking garages at all stages of development, including site feasibility studies, concepts, vertical expansion studies, full design, and value engineering, with a constant focus on cost-effective designs. He performs structural engineering on all his projects and has led multi-discipline teams on dozens of parking facility projects ranging in size from 200 spaces to 4600 spaces. He is intimately familiar with precast-prestressed concrete and cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete long-span construction. He has also managed parking garage restoration programs ranging from emergency repairs costing $5k to complex projects costing upwards of $1.8 million
Duane is a Licensed Structural Engineer in five states and has consulted in at least fifteen states, which has resulted in a breadth of experience related to durability design and regional construction methods for parking structures. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including aviation, health care, K-12, higher education, residential, municipalities, government, and developers.
