Ibrahim Erdem is the Director of Forensics, Restoration, and Building Envelope Services in Walker’s New York office. For over 20 years, Ibrahim has specialized in the evaluation, failure investigation, and repair of structures. He is also New York City’s first ever DOB-certified Qualified Parking Structure Inspector (QPSI).
Property owners, insurance companies, and attorneys seek Ibrahim’s expertise for cases involving adjacent construction. They trust him to diagnose construction and design defects, evaluate building components for compliance with applicable building codes and standards, examine construction sites for site safety measures, and provide expert testimony.
When assessing the conditions of buildings and industrial structures, Ibrahim observes building components for code compliance and serviceability. He then utilizes state-of-the-art computer modeling to determine the behavior of complex structural systems under extreme loading to provide clients with structural repair designs and to develop strengthening techniques.
